Tupelo, Sassafras, and Plum Tree are the names of these cottages in the Mississippi Historic District of Portland, Oregon. These 374 square foot homes, designed and built by Jeff and Brad, feature many salvaged and recycled materials and were on the Build it Green! Home Tour. Tammy took a private tour inside and shared all of her photos on Flickr. (Thanks Tammy!)

You can rent these cottages each for about $1000 a month and a fourth one should be finished any day now.

Thanks for the link love. I adore those little cottages. We rode by them a few weeks ago and I wanted to move in!
$1000 a month! I thought that part of the point of living in a tiny house was cutting the cost of living… my 4 bedroom regular house costs $1000 a month…
New habits to create spaciousness:
Eliminate tables, shelves, cupboards and closets.
Store your minimalist wardrobe, linens and kitchen items under a daybed or futon couch.
Use a daybed or couch to sleep, lounge, dine and entertain.
