This tropical treehouse in Puerto Rico was built out of bamboo, is solar-powered, and can be rented for $125/night. It contains a bedroom on the upper level and a kitchenette on the lower level. A shower is at the base of the structure.

I love that it’s made out of sustainable bamboo and solar powered. What a great way to spend the night in the forest!
I call it a hooch, and built a bunch of them around the world. Our Puerto Rico property includes 12 acres of tropical hardwood and bamboo- over 30 species. I grow the bamboo that is used for the hooch. Throw in a separate hooch bathroom, with flush toilet, a killer view of the Caribbean sea, and lots of trails, well, you get the picture. Rincon’ is surf city in Puerto Rico, and our spot provides the room with a view.
I stayed in one of those in Krabi, Thailand, years ago. It was wonderful.
this is an awesome place to establish a home..really outstanding..
