Creative re-uses of tiny trailers

Here are three admirable examples of re-use in one groovy city. It’s good to know that folks are still keeping Austin weird.

This Hurricane Katrina evacuee and local chef parked a tiny trailer in a gas station parking lot and turned it into Papa’s Pot, a taco shack. (source)

Okay, so this one is not-so-tiny. The trailer was salvaged, painted, and used as a mobile storage shed for a community garden. (source)

Loved this post. I’m going to Austin in March for a conference and look forward to seeing the area. :)

We have a tiny trailer that is built to look like a floating cabin (we actually live in one). It was built by a friend on the bed of a utility trailer. We use it as a traveling bookmobile where we sell the books my husband writes. – Margy

Hi Margy, I’d love to see pics! Sounds lovely!

Amanda, I know, I need to find a reason to get back to Austin sometime…
