Indoor plumbing, yay!

And off the grid, too

Again, thanks to Michael’s hard work, I am one step closer to an inhabitable home. As you may recall, the kitchen was ripped out and had to be completely rebuilt. We salvaged the original sink and stove, reinstalled, and developed this simple water system:

1. Water jugs down below
2. Small hose connected to a pump faucet
3. When the water gets used up, I carry the water jug to refill

I like this system because, although I also have a regular single tap faucet hooked up to a garden hose, I don’t want to have to use a stinky hose in order have a working kitchen.

The 16 gallon plastic water tank that was previously installed in this trailer was, shall we say, less than desirable. Drinking out of glass is so much more tasty!
